The Card Making Ministry

The Card Making Ministry was introduced during coffee hour in December of 2008. It was started by Sandy Gamsby and Debbie LeBlanc who made contact with the Evangelism Team to see if their was an interest in this ministry as they would be the ones who would actually send out the cards. Sandy Bicknell and her team were all for it!

Our first card making session was December 8, 2008. I honestly don’t remember how many people came to this first session. But it’s been two years now and we are still going strong! We meet 3-4 times a year to make handmade and hand stamped greeting cards for holidays like Easter, Thanksgiving, Veteran’s Day and Christmas and also lots of Thinking of You cards. All ages participate and that’s what makes it so fun! We welcome anyone who would like to join our card making sessions. No experience is necessary!

The cards are given to the Evangelism Team who send them out to shut-ins, the military and any member of our church family who could use some good cheer. Please remember to thank the Evangelism Team for this ministry, especially Regina Cochran who is the main force behind sending out the cards.

We have a great time so we hope you will join us. Donna Degrechie has recently joined Debbie and Sandy who create the cards. What a blessing to have others who love to craft! Please join us!
